I rejected the present and walked towards a distant utopia in pursuit of a better life. I thought I had encountered the ideal city in New York, a city of human capital, but I discovered that beneath its surface lay a deep shadow. Observing the pain, anger, loneliness, and conflicts created by the underbelly of capitalism, I felt a sense of skepticism toward the hopelessness of the city. I resolved to capture those moments, and by publishing this photo album, I aimed to resonate with others about these hidden realities and reflect together as we strive towards a better utopia.
